
Bangladesh may have to wait for their Twenty20 World Cup 2022 bow as forecasts suggest overcast weather in Hobart for the next few days.
Bangladesh T20 International team are scheduled to reach Hobart Saturday afternoon following a short camp in Brisbane, and start their campaign taking on the Netherlands at Blundstone Arena this Monday afternoon.
The team were slated to travel to Hobart earlier but International Cricket Council had it rescheduled and the Bangladesh management did not mind availing the better training facilities in Brisbane.
There has been a hype among Bangladesh cricket enthusiasts with the Dutch and Zimbabwe qualifying for Group 2.
Bangladesh have not been in the best of form in the shortest format of the game and the supporters believe taking on an easier opponents can get them off to a positive start in the mega event.
Bangladesh in the group have India, Pakistan and South Africa as other opponents.
However, the weather might play spoilsport.

According to the forecast seen Friday, there is 95% chance of rain this Monday and 97 and 84% Saturday and Sunday.
Bangladesh team will set foot in Hobart after their final practice session in Brisbane got called off due to inclement weather.
The side are unsure whether to practice in Hobart Saturday evening following a long travel from Brisbane but even if they do, their plans will be dependent on the weather.
Bangladesh reached Australia earlier this month on the back of a series of defeats in the tri-nation T20I series involving Pakistan and hosts New Zealand.
Off the two official warm-up games in the world event, Bangladesh first faced Afghanistan and lost by 62 runs.
Bangladesh chasing 161 at Allan Border Field in Brisbane were able to put up just 98 on the board.
The second game, against South Africa, at the same venue last Wednesday got washed off.
