The scheduled meeting between Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan and the premier league club officials yesterday was postponed as the BCB boss had declared recently that the league can only start after the report from ICC’s Anti-Corruption Security Unit. Earlier Nazmul had set the players transfer date on June 23 and the league from June 3, but BCB informed on Friday that the scheduled transfer date and league is postponed due to unavoidable reasons. Nazmul is expecting Acsu’s report in England, where he is visiting to attend ICC’s AGM from June 26 to 29. Jalal Yunus, a member of BCB ad-hoc committee and the chairman of the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metro (CCDM), informed that, “BCB president earlier said the league may start after the Acsu report and as the president is leaving for London on June 25, I think the meeting was not necessary before that.” Premier league side Brothers Union’s manager Amin Khan also echoed the same as Jalal and said, “It was not necessary to sit for the meeting as he (Nazmul) already said the league will start after Acsu’s report. We will sit with the Board president when he returns.” Khan also added, “We are yet to receive the aid from the Board. Usually we get it before the players transfer and I hope that we will receive our desired aid on time.”
