Acsu report likely out June 26

The ICC’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit’s (Acsu) final report on fixing scandals in Bangladesh cricket is expected to be handed over at ICC’s annual general meeting at Lord’s on June 26, said the Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hasan Wednesday at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.   The board president added that Acsu were still investigating. “They are probably investigating further after I met them the last time [on June 2]. It may also happen that since I am going to London to attend the ICC annual conference, they could give it (the report) to me there.”   Nazmul was anxious about the possibility of the report revealing more names linked to fixing.  “What happens if there are more names in the Acsu? I am not saying it’s there, but I pray to Allah that there are no other names.   “The day I heard that someone like Ashraful is involved, and has made a confession, I could not give priority to anything else other than the Acsu report,” said Nazmul. The BCB head added that Acsu’s report is likely to contain recommendation for the course of action to be taken against guilty parties, but the final decision would rest with the BCB.
