Former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza shone brightly with the ball in the Dhaka Premier League to help his side Legends of Rupganj beat Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Samity.
The 38-year old Mashrafe, the most successful one-day international captain in Bangladesh history, returned with an impressive figure of 4/38 to bundle Khelaghar out for 198 before his side reached 199/8 to clinch an exciting two-wicket win.
In the other match of the day, City Club beat Shinepukur Cricket Club by four wickets.

At Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur after losing the toss Khelaghar lost their Sri Lankan opener Upul Tharanga for just three runs but the second wicket stand added 20 runs before Mashrafe got rid of dangerous Hasanuzzaman, who scored 29 off 22 balls.
Amit Majumder scored 59 off but they lost wickets in regular intervals.
Still skipper Masum Khan and Iftekhar Sajjad built a good late-order partnership and Khelghar were on 198/7, eying to score well beyond 200 runs with more than two overs to go.
But Mashrafe picked up three wickets in the 48th over of the match and restricted them under 200 that proved decisive in the end.
While chasing Rupganj reached 105/2 thanks to 72 run-innings of Chirag Jani, who also claimed three wickets while bowling, but the fall of the Indian caused a bit of a disaster for them.
At a stage they were reduced to 156/6 but player of the match Mashrafe got 12 vital runs that helped the side reach home with two wickets and as many balls to spare.
City v Shinepukur
After winning the toss at BKSP-4, Shinepukur openers formed a 35-run stand but after fall of it they lost flurry of wickets to get reduced to 77/6 in the 24th over.
Skipper Sajjadul Haque led to salvage the innings by scoring 37 batting at No 7 while Nayeem Hasan and Alaudding Babu made 23 and 24 respectively batting at No 8 and 9 to push the score to 175.
Rajibul Islam, the left-arm spinner grabbed three wickets conceding 18 runs.
In reply, City’s Shahriar Komol and Zakiurul Ahmed scored 55 and 46 respectively batting at two and three to ease the mediocre chase but their position was somewhat jeopardized as they were reduced to 137/5 in the 32nd over.
Captain Jawad Royen played a vital run-a-ball 22-run knock to navigate his side home.
