India continued their love affair with the U-19 World Cup as the Asian giants won a record extending fifth title after beating England by four wickets in the final in Antigua.
The Indians recently reigned supreme regionally, winning the U-19 Asia Cup, and Saturday in the Caribbean, they ensured global dominance yet again after their triumphs in 2000, 2008, 2012 and 2018.
Australia are the second most successful U-19 side with three world titles, followed by Pakistan with two, and Bangladesh, England, South Africa and the West Indies with one each.
England opted to bat first in the grand finale and quickly rued their decision as they were reduced to 91/7.
Middle-order batsman James Rew (95 off 116) held up one end but England lost wickets at regular intervals at the other before Rew was joined by No 9 batter James Sales (34* off 65).
The eighth wicket stand added 93 vital runs before Rew, who hit a dozen fours, departed, falling short of a well deserved hundred.
England were eventually all out for 189 in 44.5 overs, and these 31 unplayed deliveries proved to be the difference in the outcome of the game.
India's Ravi Kumar picked up four wickets for 34 runs while player of the match Raj Bawa (5/31) starred with a five-wicket haul.
India lost opener Angkrish Raghuvanshi (nought) early but half centuries from Nos 3 and 5 Shaik Rasheed (50 off 84) and Nishant Sindhu (50* off 54) guided their side close to the destination.

Although India captain Yash Dhull was dismissed for 17, the youngster was the undoubted star among the fans back home for his brilliant performances throughout the tournament.
Former cricketers from around the world also heaped praise on Dhull, and backed him to graduate to the senior Indian side like his predecessors Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan.
