Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has decided to send home Kamil Mishara from Bangladesh for alleged breach of rules. The left-handed opener has been alleged to breach Clause No 1 (j) of the governing the player’s conduct/behavior as depicted in his Tour Contract.
As a result, Mishara, who is a member of the 18-member squad taking part in the ongoing Test series against hosts Bangladesh, will immediately flown back to Sri Lanka. SLC did not reveal the cause of the action against the cricketer.
Sri Lanka is currently playing the second and the final Test of the series against Bangladesh at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium
Upon Mishara’s return, Sri Lanka Cricket will conduct a full inquiry into the ‘violations’ and upon the outcome of the inquiry, further actions would be determined on the player.
Mishara since his international debut in February this year has played three T20Is.
