Pakistan to visit Bangladesh in November

Pakistan men’s national cricket team is set to tour Bangladesh in mid-November right after the ICC T20 World Cup, informed Bangladesh Cricket Board.

Pakistan team will reach Dhaka to play two Test and three T20Is against hosts Bangladesh. The Test matches are to be part of the ICC Test Championship 2021-23.

Bangladesh Cricket Board [BCB] on Tuesday announced the itinerary for Pakistan’s first bilateral tour of Bangladesh since 2015 and first visit to the country since the ACC Asia Cup T20 in 2016.

The series will begin with three T20s with all matches taking place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on November 19, 20 and 22 respectively.

 The first Test, scheduled to start on November 26, will be held at the Chattogram’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. The second and the final Test of the series will be played in Dhaka scheduled to start on December 4.

The Test series will mark the beginning of Bangladesh’s campaign in the ICC WTC cycle 2.

Bangladesh were highly successful the last time they faced Pakistan at home, in 2015. Bangladesh had first won the ODI series 3-0 and also clinched the lone T20I of the series. In the two-match Test series, Bangladesh registered their maiden draw in the format against Pakistan in the first game while lost the second by 328 runs.
