Tamim receives NOC to play in Nepal's Everest T20 League

Bangladesh opening batsman Tamim Iqbal has received the No Objection Certificate from the Bangladesh Cricket Board to play in the  Nepal's Everest T20 Premier League  for Bhairahawa Gladiators.

The franchise-based T20 league in Nepal will start from September 25.

The 14-day event will finish on October 9.

Tamim is currently on the road to recovery from an injury he has been nursing for months since Bangladesh’s tour of Zimbabwe.

The left-handed batsman has opted out from the T20 World Cup squad since he has not played any T20Is for the Tigers this year.

Star players like the West Indies’ Chris Gayle, South Africa’s Hashim Amla, Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane, Sri Lanka's Dinesh Chandimal and Upul Tharanga and Afghanistan's Rashid Khan will play in the Nepal Premier League.

Former Sri Lanka opener Tharanga will play alongside Tamim for Bhairahawa Gladiators.
