New Zealand cricketers Colin de Grandhomme and Finn Allen reached Dhaka Friday for the upcoming five-match T20I series against hosts Bangladesh.
The duo set foot in Bangladesh four days ahead of the scheduled arrival of New Zealand squad.
De Grandhomme and Allen upon reaching Dhaka were sent to hotel for room quarantine.
Bangladesh Cricket Board had earlier informed that the two cricketers will reach Dhaka early travelling from England following their stint in the ongoing Hundred tournament.
Had they travelled to New Zealand from England, De Grandhomme and Allen would have to follow the mandatory quarantine protocol and would have thus missed out from joining the squad to travel to Dhaka.
De Grandhomme played for Southern Brave in the Hundred, while Allen represented Birmingham Phoenix.
Meanwhile, the remaining of the New Zealand squad are scheduled to reach Dhaka Tuesday.
Upon arrival, the tourists will be in three-day room quarantine.
New Zealand Cricket had already sent three delegates to the country last Tuesday to assess the conditions and the bio-secure bubble arrangements for the upcoming series.
The five T20Is will be played at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium behind closed doors on September 1, 3, 5, 8 and 10 respectively.
