Visitors Bangladesh will look to finish the tour of Zimbabwe on a high when they take on the home side in the series deciding third T20I at Harare Sports Club Sunday.
Bangladesh went into the last leg of the tour, the three-match T20I series, boosted with wins in the lone Test match and the ODI series against the hosts.
The tourists, as expected, had a dominating start, winning the first T20I by eight wickets.
Bangladesh however, lost the momentum by missing chances while fielding in the second game, and that saw Zimbabwe gain the upper hand.
Chasing 167, Bangladesh were restricted to 143 as Zimbabwe registered a 23-run victory and leveled the series.
Bangladesh throughout the tour collected praise for their effort in the fielding department.
The first T20I witnessed some brilliant catches taken, particularly young Shamim Hossain Patwari and Souyma Sarkar.
But Friday the graph dropped as Bangladesh missed two crucial catches and had another catch fall between two fielders whereas their opponents Zimbabwe were able to grab to nine catches.
Bangladesh going into the series decider can take inspiration from the tough situations which the team went through in the tour, and the fact that they were successful in pulling themselves out of those.
The list of situations starts with the solitary Test where Mahmudullah and Taskin Ahmed emerged as the heroes with the bat, and it continued across the tour with different players from different departments stepping up on different occasions.
Bangladesh simply have all reasons in their favor to come back home with all three trophies in the tour, having first won the Test and then the ODIs.
Bangladesh will be keen to have top-order batsman Liton Das and left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman back in the playing XI provided they have recovered well from their respective injuries.
Mustafizur having an ankle niggle and Liton hobbling off in the last game following a left thigh injury saw right-arm pacer Taskin in action and Shamim make his maiden appearance in the previous game.
Zimbabwe on other hand can take encouragement from the fact that they have run the superior opposition close on occasions in the month-long bilateral series.
They will for surely look for a team effort that was evident in the previous T20I.
The home team in the second game of the series were boosted with the performance from the bowling unit when they went to defend 167.
Pacer Blessing Muzarabani got early breakthroughs and the effort was complemented by left-arm spinner Wellington Masakadza, who removed the experienced Mahmudullah and Shakib al Hasan from the chase.
With the bat, Wessley Madhevere lifted the team above par total in the format, scoring 73 off 57 balls, while Ryan Burl along with Dion Myers made crucial contributions, scoring unbeaten 34 and 26 respectively.
