Cricket coach Wahidul Gani’s father passes away

Abdul Ghani Khandoker, father prominent cricket coach Wahidul Gani, passed away at his residence in Dhaka on Friday.  Abdul, 91, died of old age.

Abdul Ghani left behind five sons and well-wishers to mourn his death. 

His namaz-e-janaza was held at the Mayor Mohammad Hanif Jame Mosque in Azimpur after Asr prayer yesterday and he was later buried at the Azimpur Graveyard.

Abdul Ghani worked as the Head Librarian of the Supreme Court and Bangladesh Institute of Law and International Affairs (BILIA).

The deceased's son, former Bangladesh cricketer Wahidul Gani played a sole ODI for Bangladesh against Pakistan in 1988.
