Rangpur’s Nasir Hossain and Dhaka Metropolis' Shahidul Islam scored centuries on day three of the ongoing National Cricket League as the latter, Chittagong and Khulna are in the driving seat ahead of day four.
Tier 1
Dhaka v Rangpur
Rangpur batsman Nasir picked up his first century of the season as he made 115 to help his team finish on 230 in their first innings in reply to Dhaka’s 365-run first innings total.
Nasir’s 115-run innings came from 252 deliveries with 11 fours and four sixes.
The capital city outfit started their second innings with a 135-run lead but they were bowled out for just 128 in the second innings in just 45.5 overs.
Nasir this time shone with the ball as he took four wickets to restrict Dhaka to only 128.
That gave Rangpur a target of 264 to win the match as they finished day three on 35 for the loss of two wickets.
Khulna v Sylhet
Sylhet finished day three scoring 250 losing five wickets following on from Khulna’s first innings total of 375.
Zakir Hasan scored a superb 118-run innings, and remained unbeaten after day three for Sylhet, while Amit Hasan made 66.
Zakir’s knock was composed with 14 boundaries.
After day three, Sylhet have a lead of nine runs with five wickets in hand.

Chittagong v Rajshahi
Rajshahi require another 136 to win the game as they concluded the day on 147 for five chasing 283.
Veteran Junaid Siddique was batting on 51 off 126 deliveries while the experience Farhad Reza was not out on 14.
Earlier on day three, Chittagong were bowled out for 147 in 51 overs.
Irfan Sukkur scored a vital 65 in the lower middle-order and was the last batsman to get out to give them a lead of more than 280.
Farhad, Taijul Islam and Towhid Hridoy picked up three wickets each for Rajshahi.
Barisal v Dhaka Metro
Dhaka Metro are in the driving seat against Barisal as the latter finished the day on 177 for seven and have only a five-run lead ahead of day four.
Two tail-enders are batting for Barisal and only a five-run lead means Dhaka are sniffing victory after their mammoth 413-run total in the first innings.
Earlier Dhaka went past the 400-run mark thanks to Shahidul's 106-run innings in the lower middle-order.
After Marshal Ayub (112 on day two), Shahidul played a superb knock and registered a century with 14 fours and four sixes.
