Lahore Qalandars opener and Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal will be up against familiar opponent in Peshawar Zalmi in the Eliminator of the Pakistan Super League T20 at Karachi Stadium, Saturday night at 9pm, Bangladesh standard time.
Tamim previously played for Peshawar before being signed this season by Lahore for the playoffs as a replacement of Australian batsman Chris Lynn.
The left-handed batsman reached Pakistan Tuesday and underwent a two-day quarantine, before playing a practice match against Multan Sultans where he scored 37 runs off 38 balls.
If Lahore win against Peshawar then Tamim will get another opportunity in the Qualifier 2, scheduled for Sunday, with the final slated to be held two days later.
The playoffs and the final were supposed to be held earlier this year but got postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
