Bangladesh Test captain Mominul Haque has tested positive for the novel coronavirus and is currently in self-isolation.
The left-handed batsman showed slight symptoms earlier and underwent the test which came out positive.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board is planning to arrange a T20 tournament, named after the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, in late November where five teams will participate.
The players’ draft of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup will be held Thursday.
With the positive result, Mominul’s participation now in the T20 competition is uncertain.
