Quarantined cricketers trending '100-ball tapping challenge'

In the time of pandemic coronavirus all sports activities in Bangladesh have been postponed. Players and athletes are spending time in home and also spreading the social message to everyone to stay at home to stop the spreading of the pandemic.

Few players of Bangladesh national team found a joyful way of their time-pass in home as they are playing ‘100 ball tapping challenge’ in social media and passing the challenge to others.

It’s a task of striking or knocking the ball with the bat but the bat should be carved and the ball has to hit 100 times before it drops to the ground.

This challenge was started by national team all-rounder Afif Hossain. He started the challenge and post it to social media which became viral. National team opener Soumya Sarker was challenged by other opener Anamul Haque Bijoy. After winning the challenge, Soumya selected Liton Kumar Das to complete the task.  Liton also won the challenge by tapping the ball 100 times without a drop. Later Liton passed the challenge to Sabbir Rahman, Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim.

Players from domestic circuit are also participating as Marshall Ayub, Shamsur Rahman Shuvo, Zakir Hasan, Shahriar Nafees were also seen participating the 100 ball tapping challenge.

Thus the challenge spread over social media and it seems players are having fun in the time of lock-down in home and when all sorts of sports are being postponed for indefinite time due to coronavirus.
