Mashrafe urges people to stay at home

Former Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has asked everyone to be at home and safe for the ongoing coronavirus crisis in the country. Right-arm pacer Mashrafe took to his social media account to deliver his message to his followers and fans.

Mashrafe posted a photo where he used the verse of poet Helal Hafiz.

"Now is the best time for a young person to stay home. Now is the best time for a young man to go to war," said the poem where Mashrafe further added, "Be safe, be at home."

Rising concern of coronavirus has affected sporting activities around the globe. In Bangladesh, all kinds of cricketing activities have been postponed by the cricket board of the country. BCB has also announced to have their work from home and asked every official from the board and cricketers to isolate themselves and avoid going out of home.

Until Monday evening, Bangladesh reported its third death from Covid-19 and a total of 33 cases have been confirmed in the country. The fast spreading Covid-19 has claimed more than 14,900 lives and infected over 343,000 globally, according to Worldometer.
