Tri-nation ODI series: Match called off due to rain

The Bangladesh versus Ireland cricket match has been called off due to rain, with Bangladesh on 157/4 in the 31st over. After losing four early wickets, Bangladesh scored 152 runs in the first 30 overs against Ireland, in the first match of the Tri-series in Dublin. The Tigers lost opener Soumya Sarker, Sabbir Rahman, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan within the first 15 overs.Soumya nicked a ball to Irish keeper Niall O'Brien on 5 runs, while Sabbir was dismissed without troubling the scorers. Mushfiqur and Shakib scored 13 and 14 runs respectively before returning to the pavilion. Earlier in the day, Ireland won the toss and elected to field. Shakib Al Hasan captains Bangladesh as Mashrafe Mortaza is serving a one-match ban. On the other hand, the Irish squad also suffered a setback before a ball had been bowled, when Ed Joyce was ruled out with a back injured. As a result, Stuart Thompson's inclusion was the only change from the team that played at Lord’s against England on Sunday.
