The Bangladesh cricket team have a challenging start in the Women’s T20 World Cup as they take on India in their opening match at Perth, Australia Monday.
Current Asia Cup champions Bangladesh are expected to gave a difficult outing under lights against their powerful neighbours, who beat hosts and pre-tournament favourites Australia in their first Group A match.
However, the Bangladesh side, who beat India in the Asia Cup final at Malaysia in 2018, got a boost ahead of the big occasion by beating Pakistan in the practice match.
Bangladesh reached Australia three weeks ago for a conditioning camp and senior member Jahanara Alam was upbeat before the start.
