Platoon players visit Bangabandhu Memorial Museum

Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League T20 side Dhaka Platoon visited the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in Dhaka Monday.

According to Platoon team officials, the plan to visit the museum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was made before starting their camp.

The Dhaka Platoon team visited the museum following a practice session. Cricketers Mashrafe bin Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal, and Anamul Haque were among those who visited the museum and learned about the life of Bangabandhu, as well as his brutal assassination at the hands of disgruntled army officers who also killed his family.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has dubbed this year’s special edition of the BPL T20 as the Bangabandhu BPL, in order to mark the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation. The seven participating teams are all being managed by the BCB, with the majority funded by sponsors.
