None of the Bangladeshi cricketers were able to land a team in the upcoming Pakistan Super League 2020.
Unavailability was the chief reason behind the PSL sides not picking any Bangladeshi players for the fifth edition of the tournament, set to be held in Pakistan from February 20 to March 22 next year.
During this time, the Bangladeshi cricketers will be busy with the home series against Zimbabwe in March, and thus not be fully available for the PSL.
As many as 23 Bangladeshi players were named in the PSL players’ draft held Friday in Lahore.
Opener Tamim Iqbal, all-rounders Mahmudullah and Saifuddin and left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman were placed in the gold category for the auction.
@BCBtigers has backtracked from its decision to bar @Mustafiz90 from playing the franchise leagues as cricket’s governing body in the country gave the green signal to the left-arm paceman to take part in the upcoming @IPL Twenty20.https://t.co/cpryONLcHo#MUSTAFIZUR #BCBTIGERS

Both Tamim and Mahmudullah had played in the PSL before, but the opportunities for the Bangladeshi cricketers in the overseas T20 leagues are getting slim due to forthcoming international commitments.
Earlier, no team from the just introduced 100-ball cricket by England picked any cricketers from Bangladesh.
A similar fate is likely for the Bangladeshi cricketers in the upcoming auction of the Indian Premier League Twenty20.
Six Bangladeshi cricketers in the form of Tamim, Mahmudullah, Mustafizur, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed and Soumya Sarkar have been named in the IPL auction.
It is understood that at least two cricketers from the six have been reached by different IPL franchises, only to find the cricketers unavailable for more than half of the season.
