The first three-day match between Bangladesh U-16 cricket team and their Pakistani counterparts ended in a draw at Khan Research Laboratory Stadium in Rawalpindi Sunday.
The young Tigers, resuming the third and final day on their overnight score of 119 runs for the loss of four wickets in their second innings were dismissed for 200 in 95.2 overs.
In the process, the visiting side gave the home side a target of 287.
Captain Nayeem Ahmed led from the front with the willow, scoring 73 to go with his first innings half century.
Nayeem’s innings was laced with 14 fours and he was ably supported by Tanbir Alam Shah, who made 42.

Pakistan’s Ali Asfand bagged six wickets while skipper Aliyan Mehmood notched two.
In reply, the tourist, who were all out for 117 in the first innings, were banking on some early wickets but it was not to be as the Pakistanis posted 112 losing two wickets in 43 overs at stumps.
Opener Mohammad Shahzad scored 80 off 127 balls.
Bangladesh’s Ahmed Sharif and Amir Hossain, after taking four and three wickets respectively in the first essay, took one wicket apiece.
The second and final three-dayer will begin Wednesday at the same venue before the two teams lock horns with each other in the three-match one-day series.
