Salma and Co take on Pakistan Saturday

Bangladesh women’s cricket team will face off against their Pakistani counterparts Saturday in the first of three T20Is at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The second and third T20Is will also be held at the same venue Monday and Wednesday respectively before the two teams lock horns with each other in the two-match ODI series.

The first and second ODI will take place on November 2 and 4 respectively.

Ahead of the T20I series opener, Bangladesh T20I captain Salma Khatun said they will bank on team spirit against Pakistan and expressed confidence of giving the home side a run for their money.

The two teams will take on each other for the second time in 13 months with Bangladesh last hosting Pakistan.

The Tigresses had lost the four-game T20I series 3-0 on that occasion but Salma said the encounters will be more competitive this time around.

Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof echoed the same sentiment and said they’re bracing for a tough battle against the visiting side.

The T20I series will serve as good preparation for both the teams ahead of the World T20I 2020 in Australia.

Bangladesh have been grouped in Pool A alongside Australia, India, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
