Bangladesh spin bowling consultant Daniel Vettori will officially begin his tenure with the Tigers through the preparation camp for the India series later this month.
BCB cricket operations committee chairman Akram Khan revealed this to the media at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka Saturday.
The former Kiwi captain, Vettori's first assignment with the Tigers will be against India at the end of this year and his contract runs until the 2020 World T20I in Australia, and during this time he will work for at least 100 days with the Bangladesh side.
The Tigers will also play the Asia Cup and tour New Zealand during this period.
‘’We will begin our camp for the India series on October 25 and he will be available as he will be coming before that,’’ said Akram.

‘’India tour is going to be tough as they are one of the best teams, and are especially very good at home.
“Also, the Test Championship is starting with this two-match Test series. We have already sent team in India twice, bearing that in mind, we have had good preparation [for the tour of India],’’ he informed, adding that the players will fine-tune their preparation for the India tour with the National Cricket League, scheduled to get underway Thursday.
“National League is also starting from October 10. So have made plans that those who will play two formats (T20Is and Tests), they will play two matches [in NCL].”
The BCB named 40-year old as the Tigers spin bowling consultant earlier on July 27 this year.
