After a few days of incessant rain, the first of two unofficial Test matches between Bangladesh A and Sri Lanka A finally began as the visiting side posted 270 runs for the loss of six wickets in 85 overs at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium in Hambantota, Sri Lanka Sunday.
Openers Jahurul Islam and Shadman Islam made a decent start, putting on 90, and both bagged fifties before Shadman got out on 53.
After that, youngster Nazmul Hossain Shanto (four) and captain Mominul Haque (11) were dismissed cheaply.

Mohammad Mithun then joined Jahurul (90) at the crease and scored a quick 92.
Both Mithun and Jahurul, who added 137 for the fourth wicket, got out along with Nurul Hasan (one) at the end of the day.
Soumya Sarkar (eight) and Mehedi Hasan Miraz (seven) were unbeaten at stumps on day one.
Bangladesh A will also play three unofficial ODIs in this tour.
