Zimbabwe got knocked out of the tournament with three consecutive losses in the series after their 39-run loss to Bangladesh in the fourth T20I of the tri-nation series Wednesday.
They will face Afghanistan Friday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in what will be their last game of a disappointing series.
Richmond Mutumbami played a good innings while chasing 176 but his 54-run innings off 32 deliveries was not enough in the end.
The middle-order batsman believes Zimbabwe bowlers bowled well to restrict Bangladesh for 175 on a good batting track but early wickets dented their chance in pursuit of the target.
@BCBtigers middle-order batsman @Mahmudullah30 praised young leg spinner Aminul Islam Biplob who bowled well in his debut match taking two wickets and expressed hope that the Tigers would be able to take forward the momentum in the T20I tri-serieshttps://t.co/QDMwzyqUfm#BCB #ZC

“The wicket was good for batting. I think 176 was a good score to chase. But we lost wickets early and that created pressure. In the end it was a disappointing loss for us and overall it was a disappointing series for us as we had the target to play at least in the final,” Mutumbami said.
Bangladesh will play Afghanistan as a dress rehearsal of the final Saturday at ZACS.
The final will be played Tuesday at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
