The thrilling second unofficial ODI of the three-match series between Bangladesh Emerging Team and Sri Lankan Team saw a pulsating finish at BKSP as the host struck two sixes in the last over to win by two wickets Wednesday.
Right-arm medium pacer Yeasin Arafat hit sixes in the second and third ball of the final over to take his side to 274/8 chasing Sri Lanka’s 273.
Host’s captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Yasir Ali made a big partnership of 120 for the third wicket and they were cruising before the skipper got out for 77.
Yasir, the man of the match, continued with Afif Hossain but just when the match was heavily tilting in their favor he perished for 85 leaving his side an equation of scoring 47 runs off 44 balls.
But the host lost few quick wickets and needed 13 off the last over before the Shahin heist.
