South Africa Emerging Players Women defeated Bangladesh Emerging Players Women by five runs in their first unofficial T20 in Hammanskraal, South Africa Wednesday.
Batting first, South Africa posted 130 runs in their 20 overs, riding on half centuries from both the openers Trisha Chetty and Tazmin Brits.
In response, Bangladesh kept losing wickets in regular intervals.
Fatima Khatun’s 34 from 32 balls took the visitor close to the total.

However, South Africa snatched the match with two run-outs in consecutive balls in the last over.
The two remaining T20 matches between the two sides will be played Thursday and Sunday in Pretoria.
Prior to the T20 series, the emerging women teams took part in an unofficial ODI series, which Bangladesh won 2-1.
