Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim got hit on his elbow while batting in the nets during training in London Thursday.
The Tigers are bidding to end their World Cup campaign on a winning note when they lock horns with Pakistan at Lord’s Friday.
Bangladesh head coach Steve Rhodes expressed hope that Mushfiq would be fit for the Pakistan clash.
“Mushifiq got a little knock on the elbow in the nets. I've have not discussed with the physio (Thihan Chandramohan) yet regarding the matter. Generally, after hitting on that sort of area, most people are okay. I don't remember too many people breaking elbows while batting. So I'm hoping that he'll be okay, but obviously it will be assessed later,” Rhodes said during the pre-match press conference at Lord’s Thursday.

According to a team source, when this report was filed, a scan was done on his injured elbow and the report will come later.
After that, the team management will assess with regards to his availability for the Pakistan clash.
Meanwhile, middle-order batsman Mahmudullah, who missed the previous game against India at Edgbaston in Birmingham due to injury, is hopeful of playing the Pakistan match.
Mahmudullah suffered a grade one tear on his calf muscle against Afghanistan at the Rose Bowl in Southampton last month and was subsequently ruled out for a week to 10 days.
@BCBtigers coach Steve Rhodes said he is proud of the way the Tigers have played in the @cricketworldcup so far against tough opponents, and aiming to finish the tournament on a high note by achieving a good result over @TheRealPCB at @HomeOfCricket.https://t.co/C16RqomnE9#BCB

It was expected that he would be fit for the India game, but was unable to recover in time and thus, sat out the clash.
Mahmudullah trained with the team at Lord’s Thursday and took part in batting session in the nets.
He also underwent a running session so it is likely that he will play against Pakistan.
Then again, a late fitness test will decide his participation just before the game.
