All-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been put under a day’s observation after receiving a blow on his right thumb. The off-spin all-rounder was fielding for his side Abahani Limited in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League at short cover when the ball had hit on his right thumb in the 26th over of the Legends of Rupganj innings at Mirpur on Sunday.
Miraz was taken off the field immediately and given primary treatment. Later assessment of the BCB physicians revealed the injury is not a severe one. A concrete assertion on the severity of the injury can however be comprehended only after a 24-hour observation.
