Saturday, the Dhaka Premier League observed an action packed, thrilling day as one of the matches ended in a tie, one match saw a team chase 330 successfully, while in the other game, a bottom-ranked side upset a top outfit.
At Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah, the game ended in dramatic circumstances as Shinepukur Cricket Club’s Unmukt Chand got run out in the last ball of their innings and the score was tied – 222/9 in reply to BKSP’s 222/8.
After winning the toss BKSP lost wickets in regular intervals to get reduced to 106/4 in 29.4 overs, but their opener Prantik Nawroz Nabil anchored one side.
Nabil, who eventually got out for 81, got a good partner in Abdul Kayium as they added 83 for the fifth wicket.

Kayium made 70 off 66 balls and got out in the last ball of the innings.
In reply, Shadman Islam (45) and Sabbir Hossain (36) made a decent start with a 76-run opening stand.
One-down Chand held the innings together but the others fell cheaply and in the end, the Indian, who made 74, got out while attempting to take the winning run.
Hasan Murad got three wickets for BKSP while Kayium, who was adjudged man of the match, grabbed two wickets.
