The Bangladesh U-19 side made a combined effort to beat England U-19 by 63 runs Saturday at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium, Cox's Bazar to clinch the three-match series 3-0.
After winning the toss, the host posted 266/9 in 50 overs thanks to three half-centuries, before their bowlers bundled out the opponent for 203 in 46.3 overs, despite a century from opener Ben Charlesworth.
The home side lost their first three wickets within 69, but opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy, who made 57 and added 88 for the fourth wicket alongside Shamim Hossain to put his side in a strong position.
After Joy’s departure, player-of-the-match Shamim also got out scoring 72 to leave the side on 189/5.
Bangladesh boys lost two more wickets within four runs, but fifth-down batsman Shahdat Hossain made 51 to help his side register a formidable total.

George Hill was the pick of the visitor’s bowlers with a return of 3/37.
In reply, opening bowler Shamim got rid of Jordan Cox for a duck to give his side the quick breakthrough, before picking the wicket of the visitor’s captain Jamie Smith two balls later for nought.
Lewis Goldsworthy, who made 22, added 61 for the third wicket but ever since his dismissal no one else could support Charlesworth properly.
Player-of-the-series Charlesworth carried the innings on his own and scored 115 off 149 balls with the aid of 10 fours and a six.
Asadullah Galib, who was the most successful bowler with figure of 4/17 in 4.3 overs, dismissed the centurion to account for the eighth wicket when the score was 201, and all but sealed the match.
