Tamim’s flying return, literally

Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal marked his return from injury with a stunning catch of Darren Bravo at long-off.

Bravo, batting on 19, went aerial against a cutter from pacer Mashrafe bin Mortaza.

The contact was however, mistimed and found Tamim grab one of the best catches.

The left-handed batsman ran to his right towards deep extra cover, and grabbed the ball with both hands diving full length, to leave the Windies reeling on 65 for two, and give Mashrafe his first wicket in the game.

Tamim despite being flamboyant in the practice game with a 70-ball 107 however, failed to contribute big in Bangladesh’s chase of 196.

The Bangladesh opener perished off a soft dismissal against Roston Chase after scoring 12.
