Captain Shakib al Hasan has been brilliant all through the series, and was adjudged man of the series. In the Dhaka Test match, both times Shakib picked up the wicket of West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite. Interestingly, on both the occasions, Brathwaite lost his wicket to Shakib in the very first over. Brathwaite is the most experienced batsman and player (53 Tests) for this West Indies side. So losing him, one of their main batsmen, very early gave Bangladesh the edge. And both times, Shakib did it for the Tigers. Shakib cleaned up Brathwaite (0 off 6 balls) in day two’s final session, and in their first innings. While on day three, Shakib struck once again as Windies lost their skipper (1 off 4 balls) in just the fourth ball of the innings. It was a fuller delivery on middle and leg-stump, Brathwaite tried to play it towards the on-side and missed it completely. And the result was, plumb in front. So skipper Shakib struck once again in the second innings by taking the wicket of counterpart very early, and forced them to the backfoot.
