The seven-a-side Step-BSJC Media Cricket Tournament 2018, organised by Bangladesh Sports Journalists Community and sponsored by Step Footwear, gets underway Saturday.
The six-day long tournament will feature 24 media houses, divided into eight groups.
The details of the tournament were revealed in a press conference at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka Thursday.
The champion will receive Tk30,000 while the runners-up side will pocket Tk20,000.
All the teams will be allowed to field a professional cricketer.
Each squad must comprise 10 members while an innings will contain six overs.
