Bangladesh A posted a handsome total of 385 runs for the loss of four wickets in their stipulated 50 overs against Ireland A in the fourth and penultimate one-dayer at The Hills Club Ground in Dublin, Ireland Wednesday, riding on Mominul Haque’s brilliant 133-ball 182.
Bangladesh A captain Mominul, coming in at No 3, blasted as many as 27 fours and three sixes as the visiting side piled on the runs in their bid to go 2-1 ahead in the series. Mominul created a host of records and was well supported by opener Zakir Hasan and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Mithun, who chipped in with 79 and 86 respectively.
Zakir hit seven boundaries and a couple of sixers in his 93-ball knock while Mithun was more destructive, hammering 14 fours and a couple of over boundaries in his 51-ball innings.
The Bangladesh innings was all about two significant partnerships really. First, Zakir and Mominul added 210 for the second wicket before the latter and Mithun put together 112 for the third wicket.
