Mominul: We're not worried about bouncy wickets

Bangladesh top-order batsman Mominul Haque believes there is nothing much to worry about with regards to the bouncy wickets as the Tigers are scheduled to depart Friday night for the tour of the West Indies.

Bangladesh will play two Test matches, three ODIs and as many T20Is in the Caribbean.

“I believe we are 100% ready for the tour. We have prepared ourselves well both physically and mentally. We will give a tough fight in both the ODI and Test series. I think we are playing better cricket in ODIs and Tests. I am not sure about T20Is as the West Indies are always a dangerous side in the shortest format, especially in recent years. Hopefully we can bring positive results from this tour,” said Mominul to the media Friday.

The left-hander is of the opinion that the Tigers have experienced batsmen in their ranks who can tackle the conditions in the Carribbean.

“We have played on bouncy pitches before. This is not the first time. We don’t need to worry about it. If we think too much about bouncy wickets then it could affect our gameplay. We need to adapt to the conditions soon. Hopefully we will do it as soon as possible,” he added.
