The match was organised to keep the likes of Shakib and Mahmudullah match fit as their respective teams did not qualify for the Super League phase, or the relegation league, of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League 2017-18 season. It was good practice indeed for Shakib who is preparing for the Indian Premier League T20 2018 season for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Tigers’ interim head coach Courtney Walsh, team manager Khaled Mahmud, national selectors Minhajul Abedin Nannu and Habibul Bashar Sumon and cricket operations committee chairman Akram Khan were present at the field and watched the game.BRIEF SCOREBCB Red 97/4 in 16.1 overs (Zakir 37, Shakib 15) beat BCB Green 96 in 17.3 overs (Delwar 20, Rahman 3/20) by six wickets
