India set up Pakistan clash after beating Bangladesh in U19 World Cup quarters

Title favourite India set up a clash with arch-rival Pakistan after defeating Bangladesh by 131 runs in the quarter-final of the 2018 U-19 World Cup in Queenstown Friday. Batting first, India posted 265 before losing all of their wickets in 49.2 overs, riding on half centuries from No 3 batsman Shubnam Gill (86) and middle-order batsman Abhishek Sharma (50). Seamer Qazi Onik bagged three wickets for Bangladesh while spinners Nayeem Hasan and Saif Hasan picked up two apiece.

In reply, the Bangladesh youngsters were all out for 134 in 42.1 overs with opener Pinak Ghosh top-scoring with 43. Pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti took three wickets for India. Bangladesh had qualified for the quarter-final after finishing runners-up in the group stage, following wins over Namibia and Canada and a defeat against England.
