“With the group of players we have, there’s a lot of experience there. They have played the Sri Lankans a great deal. They know the Mirpur pitch very well. It is exciting to have someone like Miraz waiting to play. But then you see how Sanjamul [Islam] bowls, you can see he can bowl to left-handers. Just because you turn the ball the other way, doesn’t mean you can bowl to left-handed or right-handed batsmen,” said Halsall to the media at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka Tuesday. “I think it is a complete fallacy. If you are an outstanding bowler, you can bowl to left-handers and right-handers. I think we are very lucky with whichever way the experienced group of players the management decides to go, we have got the luxury of playing Miraz or Sanjamul. Bangladesh are blessed at the moment to go in different directions,” he added.
