Mustafizur fit to play for Rajshahi

Mustafizur Rahman has become fit to play and can take part in the Chittagong phase of the BPL 2017, informed team physio Bayezid Islam. “We have been observing Mustafizur in the last few weeks after he returned from South Africa tour. We have completed his rehabilitation phase after he joined Rajshahi Kings in the Dhaka phase of BPL. He bowled in four sessions in the last few days, including [Thursday's] practice. [Thursday] he took part in running sessions, including five overs bowling in the nets,” Bayezid said at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Cricket Stadium Thursday.

“So far, Mustafizur has no complaints regarding his injury. From a physio’s point of view, I am confident about his fitness. As Mustafizur has no complaints physically, we can say he is fit,” he added. Mustafizur suffered the injury during Bangladesh’s tour of South Africa in October this year and missed the ODI and T20I series. The left-arm pacer has not played in the BPL 2017 so far. Rajshahi are sixth in the points table with four points from seven matches and face Comilla Victorians in their next game Saturday in the port city.
