Bangladesh create history, beat Australia by 20 runs

Ace all-rounder Shakib al Hasan shone brightly with both bat and ball as Bangladesh beat Australia by 20 runs during day four of their first Test match in Mirpur's Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Wednesday.Following his composed 84 in the first innings, Shakib bagged five wickets in the second innings as Australia were all out for 244 in 70.5 overs.In the process, the Magura lad registered his second 10-wicket haul in Test.This is the first time the Tigers beat the Aussies in a Test ever since their first Test in 2000.Earlier, opener David Warner blasted his 19th hundred before he was trapped in front for 112 by Shakib; his 135-ball knock featuring 16 fours and a six.Captain Steve Smith (37) soon followed his deputy to the dressing room after he was out caught behind off the bowling of Shakib.Middle-order batsman Peter Handscomb (15) was then dismissed by left-arm spinner Taijul Islam before Shakib came back to haunt the Aussies again, this time accounting for the wicket of wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade (four).No 8 batsman Ashton Agar (two) was also dismissed before lunch, Taijul taking a catch off his own bowling.Following lunch, Shakib continued his heroics as the dangerous Glenn Maxwell was cleaned up for 14.Youngster Mehedi Hasan Miraz joined the party by dismissing lower-order batsman Nathan Lyon for 12.No 11 batsman Josh Hazlewood (nought) was the last wicket to fall as he was pinned in front of the stumps by Taijul.The plucky Pat Cummins was unbeaten on 33 at the other end.BRIEF SCOREBangladesh 260 & 221 beat Australia 217 & 244 in 70.5 overs (Warner 112, Shakib 5/85) by 20 runs
