Bangladesh Women beat Ireland by 8 wickets

Bangladesh Women Cricket Team have defeated Irish Women by eight wickets in their 2nd official warm-up match of the Women’s World Twenty20.

Ireland women managed to score 74 runs for 9 wickets in the 20 overs. In reply, Bangladesh easily reached their target scoring 79 for two wickets with 45 balls remaining.

Shramin Akhter was unbeaten on 36 runs off 37 balls.

Rumana Ahmed claimed four Irish wickets for 12 while Jahanara Alam, Salma Khatun, Lata Mondal, Nahida Akhter and Khadiza-tul-Kurba took one wicket each.

The match was held at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore of India on Saturday.

Earlier in the first warm up match, Bangladesh women conceded a five-wicket defeat against Sri Lanka on Thursday in Bangalore.
