Vitori reported for suspect bowling action

Zimbabwe left-arm paceman Brian Vitori has been reported of a suspect bowling action following the third and penultimate Twenty20 international against Bangladesh at Khulna’s Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium last Wednesday.

The match officials’ report, which was handed over to the Zimbabwe team management after the game, cited concerns with regards to the legality of the 25-year old’s deliveries.

Vitori’s bowling action will be scrutinised further under the International Cricket Council’s process relating to suspected illegal bowling actions reported in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. Vitori will now have to undergo testing within 14 days and during this period, he is permitted to continue bowling in international cricket until the results of the tests are known.

Vitori made his international bow in 2011 and has so far played four Tests, 19 ODIs and 11 T20Is.
