Rain has once again delayed the Day 3 play of the one-off test match between India and Bangladesh.
After Jubair Hossain picked the wicket of WP Saha, Shakib Al Hasan sent Rahane back to the pavilion.
India managed to score 462 runs losing 6 wickets after 103 overs at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium on Friday.
The start of Day 3 play after lunch was delayed for rain. Later, it resumed after nearly an hour's halt.
Earlier, Shakib picked up Dhawan and Rohit out in quick succession while Jubair bowled Kohli out at the beginning of the match.
On Thursday, persistent rain forced the cancellation of the second day’s play of the solitary Test between Bangladesh and India.
Indian openers scored 239 without loss on the first day. India's full-time captain Virat Kohli won the toss and chose to bat first.
Kohli showed a desperation to win on what looked like a good batting pitch, and also showed enough trust in his five specialist batsmen, choosing two specialist spinners and three quicks.
