Bangladesh's fastest sprinter Imranur Rahman, the lone athlete from his country in the 19th Asian Games, failed to create history as he was eliminated from the heat of first semi-final of the athletics 100m sprint at Hangzhou Sports Center Olympic Stadium Saturday.
Imranur ran in lane No 8 and finished sixth among eight participants with a timing of 10.42 seconds.
Earlier Friday, Imranur finished third in the heat with a time of 10.44s.
His personal best timing was 10.11.
If he had registered his best timing, he could have reached the final and fight for the medal.
Imranur is not content with his performance and wants to take time to analyze.
He also thanked the countrymen for their support.
