Shuvoo to play ‘Basic Ali’ in the film

Popular Bangla cartoon character Basic Ali will be seen on the big screen and the character will be played by celebrity film actor Arifin Shuvoo, the actor confirmed to Bangla Tribune. The film will be titled after the character. The film will feature other characters from the series, created by cartoonist Shahriar Khan. “The characters will be the same as in the cartoon series. But I should say that a new story is being written for the film. That’s why I don’t really know how my character will be placed. The themes in the film are comedy, family, friendship and fantasy,” Shuvoo said. The Canada based production and distribution company ‘Shopno Scarecrow’ is going to produce the film. This is also its debut feature film production. The production said that actor for the lead female character Ria and director for the film has not been finalised yet.
