President Obama’s playlist

It should come to no surprise that the leader of the free world is into Hip-Hop, and his favourites of both old and new rappers of the genre are regularly in his playlist. In a recent interview on SiriusXM’s Sway in the Morning show, President Obama named Chance the Rapper and Kendrick Lamar as his recent two favourite rappers. However, he wanted to make clear that Jay Z is still the king of rap for the time being.I think the young guys, Kendrick and Chance, are doing amazing work. I love Drake and the girls love Drake, so he’s commercially just doing great, and unbelievably talented,” Obama said. “Jay Z’s still the king. I mean he’s got a track record. Same with Kanye so there’s a lot of talent out there, but when I look at who’s breaking new ground, Kendrick and Chance, those guys are doing just amazing work.”He also revealed that Chance the Rapper was also a family friend and that he’s known the rapper since he was a little boy. The President shared his music taste back in August of this year by sharing his playlists on Spotify. The daytime tracks had Jay Z’s “So Ambitious,” featuring Pharrell Williams, while the nighttime playlist included Chance the Rapper’s “Acid Rain.”
