Porimoni to star in a Chinese film

Popular Dhallywood star, Porimoni is about to make her debut in a Chinese film. Titled Chasing Murder, the film will be made based on a true event that took place in China on May 6, last year, and became famous as “Xiangxia shooting murder.” Porimoni will be seen as a member of international police interrogating the murder, with a number of actors from China and Hong Kong, confirmed the actor herself. If everything goes as planned, Porimoni will be the first Bangladeshi to act in a Chinese film. “It’s pleasing to think that I’m going to be the first Bangladeshi to act in a Chinese movie,” she said expressing her delight. “I’ve visited China recently. As you know, many of the popular social apps are banned there, which is why I started to use We Chat, and got to know some Bangladeshi people living there. There was a young Bangladeshi who is working with the film company and out of nowhere he offered me the role. Later, he took me to the production house. I had a meeting with the kingpins of the company, who described the whole story to me. They’ve contacted me again after my return to Bangladesh. That’s how I got connected,” the Mohua Sundori actor explained. She also added that the official contract with the production house will be signed this coming September. The actor is now busy taking Mandarin lessons in a language teaching institute of Dhaka. Chasing Murder will be directed by two directors, Huxiahui and Denipang, under the banner of Fengu Tiangxia Film company. Shooting of the film will take place in China and Bangladesh, Porimoni confirmed.
