Police just released the audio of the 911 call made by a driver, who reported the death of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington. The driver seemed to be there to pick up the singer.
“I just got to the location and his housekeeper came out and said he killed himself ... he hung himself,” the caller said to the emergency operator. When the operator asked if the housekeeper could tell her what was the exact condition of the man found dead, the driver replied, “Yeah, I asked, I said is he..is he cold, is he warm, and she said na... he’s dead, he’s been hanging. She’s talking to his wife right now.”
As the driver talks to the operator and listens to the instructions, the housekeeper is heard wailing in the background. The driver said that the housekeeper was on the phone with Talinda Bentley, the wife of Chester Bennington.
The driver did not enter the house, but reported what he heard from the housekeeper, who came outside to talk to the driver. He told the dispatcher that he did not personally see the hanging dead body. The dispatcher then asked the man to make sure everyone stays outside the room where the hanging took place and wait for paramedics.
41 years old Chester Bennington was found dead on the morning of July 20 at his Palos Verdes Estates home near Los Angeles. The Los Angeles County Coroner on Monday ruled that Bennington’s death was a suicide.
