Meghan Markle may return to scripted TV with ‘The Gentlemen’

Meghan Markle is reportedly in early talks to join the third season of Netflix’s “The Gentlemen," potentially marking her return to a scripted television project.

Markle’s role has not been revealed, and no contract has been signed. Netflix and Markle’s representatives have declined to comment on the reports.

“The Gentlemen," created by Guy Ritchie, stars Theo James as an aristocrat who inherits his late father’s estate and discovers an underground cannabis operation. The second season is scheduled to premiere on September 3.

Markle is best known for playing Rachel Zane in the legal drama "Suits," where she appeared for seven seasons from 2011 to 2018.

She has maintained a production partnership with Netflix through Archewell Productions, which she runs with Prince Harry. Their projects include “With Love, Meghan," “Heart of Invictus," and “Harry & Meghan."

Markle is also set to make a cameo as herself in the upcoming Amazon MGM comedy “Close Personal Friends," starring Brie Larson and Lily Collins.
